After award of a project, if requested, we complete a high level plan custom to your project and socialize with you to ensure it meets your timing and transaction deadlines.

What changed the surveying industry forever in the 1990s/2000s has now happened again in the late 2015-2020s.

D&D Surveying and Planning has an intertwined history with Steamboat and Routt County. The current management is proud to be the latest caretaker of this storied firm and look forward to the decades to come.
Stanley Dismuke, Texas A&M Graduate and Colorado Professional Engineer, is elected to the office of Routt County Surveyor and wins consecutive re-elections through his retirement in 1970. In 1929 Stanley was elected Town (Steamboat Springs) Engineer. Stanley has many notable local surveying projects over the next 40 years including the re-layout and expansion of the Howlesen Hill Ski Jumps and Slalom runs in 1941.
Morton Stanley Dismuke, son of Stanley Dismuke, begins assisting his father as apprentice rodman on select survey parties in/about Routt County. Morton attends Texas Tech University as a Civil Engineering Major before being called to Europe for WW2.
After starting a family and career in Texas, Morton Dismuke moves the family back to Steamboat Springs and begins working with his father Stanley in the County Surveyor's Office.
Morton Dismuke forms the firm Dismuke and Dismuke to provide Surveying and Civil Engineering Services within Routt County with Stanley, Colorado Licensed Engineer and Surveyor #248 as his partner. Offices are at 442 Lincoln Ave. The first big project Dismuke and Dismuke completes is the Alpine Acres Subdivision in early 1966 and then records their first Land Survey Plat SP#6654 in Routt County.
Morton passes the Colorado State Surveying Exam and receives license and stamp #LS 7736 on April 15. 1967.
Dismuke and Dismuke becomes The Mount Werner Ski Corporation's surveyor of record (Client #250); 17 Projects are delivered to the Ski Corporation from 1967-1969 ; including elevation profiles of all existing chairlifts, the new planned Bell engineered gondola, and mountain development topography. Lincoln "Linc" Jones, Architect, Pearl Street, Boulder CO is the supervising project manager.
Morton is also named as Chairman of the Routt County Planning Commission. Morton Dismuke is also elected Routt County Surveyor succeeding his father Stanley who retires after 42 years as County Surveyor.
Morton formally incorporates Dismuke and Dismuke , Inc. within the State of Colorado as the firm grows with Steamboat. Offices move to 443 Oak Street.
Dismuke and Dismuke Inc. rebrands to D&D Consultants Inc; main office is at 405 S. Lincoln Ave.
Morton Dismuke retires. D&D Consultants Inc. re-organizes into two new entities; the civil engineering division becomes Civil Design Consultants Inc. and the surveying operations incorporate as D&D Inc. - a Professional Land Surveying and Planning Company. Skidge Moon becomes the President and sole shareholder of D&D Inc.
Tom Kelly joins D&D Inc. as Managing Director, Surveying Operations in April 2022 to improve delivery and modernize the firm's assets. The firm is re-organized into D&D Surveying and Planning LLC in June 2022. Skidge Moon remains as on of the firm's hands-on Professional Licensed Surveyor overseeing that all work product meets/exceeds State Standards with the high level of detail and accuracy that clients have come to expect over the years. In July 2022, Tom Kelly receives his Colorado Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) designation.
D&D Surveying celebrates its 60th Anniversary operating in Northwest Colorado! The firm's growth in associates requires larger office space-- look for our new office in June 2025 at 1169 Hilltop Parkway in the Fox Creek Office Complex!
